As a farmer, my work on the family farm is complemented by a part-time job in an aeronautics factory of the SAFRAN group in Oloron Sainte Marie as an assembler.
Because of my Souletines origins, in the heart of the Basque Country, I am passionate about nature and mountains, I spend a lot of my time running and hiking.
I am a competitor, when I enter a race it is to win but winning is not everything.
I like the race, sharing, exchanging on the starting line with the best but also with the anonymous, those who make the DNA of our sport …
I love the mountain, the humility it imposes, the work it requires to be tamed…
I like mountain running because it rewards the most courageous, the most humble and it promotes solidarity between those who practice it…
But my family is everything, Married, and one child, my son Natan follows me in some sporting events and my wife Cendrine accompanies me in the organization and logistics of each race.

When I was young, I used to play handball in my village of Tardets, where the club was very active in national competitions…
But it is only in 2008, at 28 years old, that I started to run… a little at first and then more and more, until I discovered qualities that I did not suspect…
The spirit of competition then took over and in 2014 I participated, and won, my first trails (14km, 50km…)…

Until 2019 I have been practicing Skyrunning (high altitude mountain trail) at an international level and have participated in several World Cup events as well as two World Championships (2016 and 2018).
In 2019, I finished 6th overall in the Skyrunning World Cup.
The year 2020 was for me the opportunity to think about the next step in my career and I decided to start racing Ultra trail. So I started training on these formats and in 2021, I ran my first four Ultras.
The highlight was a 3rd place in the Diagonale des Fous which gave me ideas…
My goal is to participate in theUTMB World Series in 2022, with the grand finale in Chamonix, as well as the Diagonale des Fous for the second consecutive time.
This is an extraordinary challenge for my wife and I, and we will do everything possible to make our dream come true in the best possible conditions.
My employer has granted me a further reduction in my working hours in order to devote as much of my free time as possible to training and competition…
Nevertheless, some partners accompany me in this year 2022 which ends with a 6th place in the UTMB and… a victory in the Diagonale des Fous.
Then inevitably, the desire to go further is stronger than almost anything…
